1. What This Site Is

VPS Host Review publishes editorial content and user-submitted reviews of VPS hosting providers. We are not a hosting company. We do not sell, resell, or provision hosting services of any kind.

Some links on this site may generate affiliate commissions when you follow them and make a purchase. This is disclosed in our footer on every page and does not influence editorial content, review scores, or rankings in any way.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old — or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater — to create an account and submit reviews. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement. Accounts found to belong to minors will be terminated without notice.

3. Your Account

You may create an account by registering with an email address and password, or by signing in through a supported third-party provider such as Google. Signing in through a third-party provider for the first time creates an account on this site and constitutes acceptance of these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Review Guidelines — the same obligations that apply to accounts created with a password. Accounts created through a third-party provider are subject to all the same rules, limits, and responsibilities described in these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or use.

Accounts created with an email address and password require email verification before full access is granted. A verification link is sent to the address you registered with and expires after 24 hours. You may request a new link from the verification page if the original expires or does not arrive.

Your display name must not impersonate another person, brand, or organization — including the staff or representatives of any hosting provider. We reserve the right to suspend or permanently close accounts that violate these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, are acting against the interests of the community.

3.1 Account Management and Administrative Actions

In addition to account suspension for policy violations, site administrators may take the following actions on any account as part of platform management:

• Disable your account — preventing you from signing in. This may be done to enforce site policies, respond to abuse reports, or at your request.
• Hide your reviews — removing your published reviews from public view while retaining them in the database. Hidden reviews can be restored to public view by an administrator.
• Anonymize your account — replacing your display name with a placeholder (such as “Deactivated User”), hiding your reviews, and disabling your account. Your original display name is retained internally and can be restored (de-anonymized) by an administrator.
• Change your role — assigning or removing roles such as User, Moderator, Administrator, or Provider Representative. Role changes affect the features and administrative areas you can access on the site.

You will be notified by email when an administrator disables or anonymizes your account. If you believe an administrative action was taken in error, contact us.

4. User-Submitted Content

4.1 Submission Rules

You may submit one review per hosting provider and may update your review of the same provider after a waiting period. Across all providers, you may submit at most one review per seven-day rolling period. Reviews must be based on your own genuine, first-hand experience with the provider being reviewed. Submitting a review on behalf of another person, or for a provider you have not personally used, is a violation of these Terms.

When you edit a previously approved review, changes to star ratings only are applied immediately. If your edit includes changes to the written comment, the proposed changes are placed in a moderation queue for staff review. Your original, approved review remains published and visible on the site throughout this process. You will be notified by email when the edit is approved and merged into the live review, or when it is returned to you for revision with feedback from a moderator.

All content you submit to the site — including reviews, comments, replies, display names, website URLs, and any other contribution — must comply with these Terms and with our Review Guidelines and Content Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. Submission limits, approval workflows, and moderation rules described in this section apply to all content types the site makes available, even where not individually named. Website URLs submitted for your reviewer profile are subject to admin review before appearing publicly; they must link to a legitimate personal or professional website and must not point to malicious, deceptive, or prohibited content.

4.2 License Grant and Our Rights Over Submitted Content

By submitting any content to this site — including reviews, comments, replies, display names, and any other material you contribute — you grant VPS Host Review a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, publish, display, modify, adapt, translate, and distribute that content in any medium or format, now known or later developed, for any purpose related to operating, promoting, or extending this platform. This includes — without limitation — displaying your content on this site, syndicating it to third-party websites, making it available via embed widgets or data feeds, and allowing other site owners to display your content on their own websites. Approved content is public; by submitting it you understand and accept that it may appear beyond the pages of vpshostreview.com.

We reserve the right to edit, reject, withhold, or remove any review at any time, for any reason, with or without prior notice. That said, authentic customer feedback is the foundation this site is built on. We have no interest in distorting what honest reviewers have to say. In practice, we limit intervention to content that is abusive, demonstrably false, legally problematic, or otherwise violates these Terms. We will not edit or suppress a review simply because a hosting provider dislikes its conclusions.

By submitting any content to this site, you acknowledge that it may be processed by third-party automated systems for purposes such as content moderation (currently powered by OpenAI’s moderation API), spam detection, language identification, translation, and related quality-screening functions. This applies to reviews, comments, display names, and any other user-submitted text. These systems receive only the text being processed and return a result; they do not use your content for unrelated purposes. The specific services used for these functions may change over time.

Reviews may optionally include hosting plan specifications such as CPU count, RAM, storage, bandwidth, port speed, and pricing. These details are self-reported by the reviewer. VPS Host Review does not independently verify the accuracy of plan specifications submitted with reviews. Plan details are provided for informational context only and should not be treated as authoritative product listings. Always confirm plan features and pricing directly with the hosting provider before making a purchase decision.

4.3 Prohibited Content

Content you submit to this site must not contain any of the following:

• Personal attacks, threats, or harassment directed at individuals
• Defamatory, fraudulent, or deliberately misleading statements
• Personally identifiable information about third parties (names, contact details, account numbers)
• Content that was paid for, incentivized, or provided in exchange for compensation, without explicit disclosure
• Text copied from another source without the original author's permission
• Advertising, promotional material, or links inserted for commercial gain

4.4 Comments and Discussion

Registered users may post comments on published reviews, including threaded replies to other users' comments. All comments are subject to moderation before they appear publicly. We reserve the right to approve, reject, edit, or remove any comment at any time, for any reason. The content license in section 4.2 and the prohibited content rules in section 4.3 apply to comments in the same way they apply to reviews.

By posting a comment or reply, you acknowledge that it may be processed by automated systems as described in section 4.2, and that it may be published publicly under your display name. You will receive email notifications about comment activity according to your notification preferences; you can manage or disable these at any time from your account settings.

We may also send you periodic reminders to update reviews that have not been revised for an extended period. These reminders are optional and can be disabled from your notification preferences or via the unsubscribe link in the email.

4.5 Provider Representative Accounts

Hosting providers may request that an account on this site be linked to their organization. Linked accounts may be permitted to view reviews of that provider that have not yet been approved, submit official responses to reviews of that provider, leave comments on reviews of that provider, and propose updates to the provider's description on the site. Both responses and description changes are subject to admin review and approval before appearing publicly.

Comments and responses posted from a provider representative account are publicly identified with a visible badge indicating the author's affiliation with the hosting provider. By using a provider account to submit content, you consent to this public identification.

Provider responses must be professional, factual, and directly relevant to the review being addressed. The prohibited content rules in section 4.3 apply. A provider response must not be used to harass reviewers, make legal threats, or attempt to suppress or retaliate against negative feedback. We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any provider response or description update at any time, for any reason.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use this site for any of the following:

• Illegal activity. Do not use this site to plan, facilitate, or carry out any act that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation. This includes, but is not limited to, fraud, identity theft, unauthorized access to computer systems, and intellectual property infringement.
• Fake or coordinated reviews. Do not submit reviews that do not reflect your genuine experience. Do not create multiple accounts to post reviews for the same provider, and do not coordinate with others — including hosting providers themselves — to mass-submit reviews intended to artificially inflate or damage a provider's reputation.
• Impersonation. Do not represent yourself as another person, company, or organization, or falsely imply any affiliation or endorsement.
• Automated scraping. Do not use bots, crawlers, or automated scripts to extract data from this site in a manner that goes beyond what is explicitly permitted by our robots.txt.
• Service interference. Do not attempt to disrupt, compromise, or gain unauthorized access to this site, its servers, or any systems or networks connected to it.
• Spam. Do not use any part of the site — including the review system, account profiles, or any contact mechanism — to distribute unsolicited commercial messages or promotions.
• Circumventing controls. Do not attempt to bypass submission limits, rate controls, or any other measures put in place to protect the integrity of the review system.
• Commercial data exploitation. Do not reproduce, aggregate, resell, sublicense, or otherwise exploit data sourced from this site — including review scores, provider rankings, benchmark results, or any portion of our database — in any commercial product, service, publication, or dataset without our express prior written consent.

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, a permanent ban, and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

6. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all editorial content on VPS Host Review — including written articles, the scoring methodology, page designs, and graphics — is the property of VPS Host Review or its contributors and is protected under applicable copyright law. You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute this content without prior written permission.

User-submitted content remains the intellectual property of the contributor. By submitting any content to this site you grant us the license described in section 4.2.

Our review dataset — including aggregate ratings, provider rankings, benchmark results, and the structured data derived from user submissions — is a proprietary asset built through significant editorial and technical investment. You may not reproduce, compile, sublicense, sell, or otherwise leverage this data, in whole or in part, for any commercial purpose, competitive product, or third-party publication without our express prior written consent. Academic or non-commercial research use may be permitted on request; contact us to inquire.

7. Privacy and Your Data

We collect the information you provide when you register and use the site: your display name, email address, website URL (if provided), account preferences, notification settings, and any content you submit (including reviews, comments, and other contributions). We also record certain activity data such as sign-in times and outbound link clicks. We use this data to operate the site, send account-related and notification communications, and improve the platform. Our Privacy Policy describes data collection and use in full detail.

Site administrators and moderators may access user account information, submitted content (including reviews, comments, and provider data), and activity records as necessary for content moderation, quality assurance, and operational management of the platform. This includes the account management actions described in section 3.1.

At the time these Terms were published, we do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or email address with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. We intend to keep it that way. That said, we reserve the right to update this practice in the future. If we ever change how we handle your data in a material way, we will revise the effective date of these Terms and update our Privacy Policy. Continued use of the site after any such change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

8. Third-Party Links and Affiliate Disclosure

This site contains links to third-party websites, including the official sites of hosting providers we review. We are not responsible for the content, availability, accuracy, or privacy practices of those sites. Visiting a third-party site is at your own risk.

Some outbound links may earn us affiliate commissions paid by hosting providers when you click through and make a purchase. These commercial relationships have no influence over review scores, editorial rankings, or any assessment we publish. Our scoring model is documented publicly on our Scoring Methodology page.

9. Disclaimers

VPS Host Review is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We make no representation that:

• Review content is accurate, complete, or current
• The site will be continuously available or free of errors
• Any particular hosting provider will meet your needs based on content published here

Reviews reflect the individual experiences and opinions of their authors at a specific point in time. Hosting providers regularly change their products, pricing, support quality, and terms of service. Verify current details directly with any provider before making a purchasing decision.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VPS Host Review, its owners, operators, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or from any content published here, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms or from your use of the site will not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim — which in most cases is zero.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VPS Host Review, its operators, and its contributors from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and legal fees (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:

• Your use of this site in violation of these Terms
• Any content you submit to the site, including reviews, comments, display names, provider responses, and account information
• Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The "Effective date" at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use of the site after a revision means you accept the updated Terms.

When we make a material change — one that meaningfully affects how the site operates, what content you may submit, or how your data is handled — we will send a notification to the email address registered on your account. We may also post a notice on the homepage. Checking this page periodically remains your responsibility, but we will not make material changes silently.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of this site will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the United States.
